 Love's Pledge

The Temple of Love is comprised of various ranks reflecting devotion and study of all things Love.

Each rank is allocated specific duties and responsibilities that should be fulfilled on a regular basis.

 

Promotions are granted by leadership and reflect furvent dedication to Rexington and Love.

Love's Pledge

This is the rank that people receive when they apply to join the temple. They have no real duties other than to learn about the temple. At this level the Pledge will be given a quest to complete on behalf of the temple. This rank will NOT receive this charter as they are not yet IN the temple. This rank will last at least one OOC week during which time they will complete a quest and pass any needed final interviews.

 

Seeker of Love

The primary role of this rank is to form a personal, intimate understanding of Love. Those in this rank should begin actively sharing their love with those in the temple and the land. This is the first rank IN the temple. This rank will receive a golden locket so they may have full access to the temple grounds.

 

Brother/Sister of Love

Those in this rank should have a working understanding of Love, having shown it in the land and the temple. A greater level of Love can be learned and expressed through joining temple Councils teaching those who express interest in the temple, and by finding and sponsoring hopeful temple members. This rank and above may begin doing interviews PROVIDED they have taken the primary interview class.

Heart of Love

This rank carries the same responsibilities as the previous rank but at a greater responsibility level. This rank will also hold the responsibility of answering questions set forth by Love Pledges. By this rank all should be involved in one of the councils and attending events regularly.

 

Spirit of Love

Those in this rank have shown a greater understanding of Love through work in the temple with sponsoring and teaching member hopefuls. They have shown a greater desire for more responsibility, which can be gained through Council involvement and by learning to teach and mentor new temple members. They should still be teaching and sponsoring temple hopefuls, as well.

 

Essence of Love

This rank carries much the same responsibilities as the Spirit rank. Those in this rank are expected to be regularly planning events, working with new members, recruiting, and sponsoring temple hopefuls. They will also be learning to teach those in the lower ranks to teach, sponsor and guide temple hopefuls. Those in this rank will now begin to interview potential temple members who have been sponsored. You will also be expected to be available to do secondary interviews when called upon.

Priest/Priestess of Love

This is the first of the managerial ranks. Their major roles will be as facilitators of the councils, interviews of sponsored temple hopefuls, and looking for those who may have earned temple promotions, in addition to those responsibilities of those ranks below theirs. Those of this rank will also be eligible to begin training of the love ceremonies, and eventually perform them.

Arch Priest/Arch Priestess of Love

These are the advisors to the Masters. Their primary roles will be to look for those deserving promotions, motivate those who have become bored or counter productive, and help to facilitate new temple policies and activities. This rank should be performing love ceremonies and training Priests/Priestesses. One representative of each branch in this rank will sit on the High Council.

 

 

Elder of Love

This rank is, in a sense, above Arch Priest/Priestess, yet below Master/Mistress/Matron. They are the retired Masters, Mistresses, Matrons, Patriarch, and Matriarchs who have been in their position for at least three OOC months. They should be leading councils and teaching classes. Responsibilities also include those of every rank below them. This rank will be for those who have shown great dedication to the temple and have accomplished as much as they possibly can. Although they are retired, they are still expected to participate and train and interview when needed. All elders sit on the High Council.

 

Master/Mistress/Matron of Love

These are the mortal leaders of each branch. They manage their areas and are considered the "expert" in their area. They have the responsibility of maintaining and trying to carry out new temple ideas. One of them will always be present at secondary interviews and they will all be invested in training others based on their individual strength. They all sit on the High Council. This rank can perform final interviews.

 

Patriarch/Matriarch of Love

This is the mortal leader(s) of the temple. This is a very demanding job, since they oversee the entire temple and are a final outlet of every previous duty. They represent all Love. This rank can perform final interviews. They basically run the temple and the High Council. They set up meetings, oversee the other councils, and work with the Masters in their various branches.
